2003 Taylor (Fladgate) Porto Vintage

Tasted by szang. Dark, inky color with powerful, concentrated dark fruit on the nose. Nice chocolate and burnt caramel overtones. The tannins are massive but fine and well integrated. Long lasting finish. Clearly young, but i'm not going to wait forever to drink this stuff. (96 pts.) - Tasted 8/27/2008. [FIND IT!]

Awesome LBV, and a very good value overall - Extreme dark, well concentrated with typical notes of dark plum, raisin, fig and a vanilla, well structured for the long haul, yet had a balance and smoothness that was wonderful, the finish was quite long and luscious, a real treat! 2003 Graham Porto Vintage

Tasted by Paul S. This was beautiful, probably my favourite wine of the entire tasting, along with the 1983 vintage port. The later was better drinking now, but it has had the benefit of more bottle age. I have no doubt that the 2003 will be a more profound and exiciting wine when it hits its stride 20 years later. A deep, almost inky purple coloured wine, this had a really beautiful and luxurious nose replete with lots of lush black fruit, earth and forest mushroom, cracked black pepper and meat and subtle chocolate notes. After time, the wine began to scream of fragrant sultanas on the nose. Lovely on the palate as well, which was thick, dense and so very rich, choked full of fruit and character all the way into its long, smooth finish. Oh so young and primary now, but so yummy! Tasted by zymurgist. Very dark red that is nearly opaque. The nose is moderately complex with aromas of cinnamon, cherry, and black berry. On the palate it is medium to full body with lower acidity and ripe firm tannins that are starting to integrate. The finish is persistent and warm with hints of cherries and other fruit. A very solid Port that will likely improve over the next decade or two. I'll try to save my remaining bottle for at least 10 years but this tastes so good, the likelihood of that happening is slim. 1994 Graham Porto Vintage

Tasted by petitblanc. Beautiful, deep ruby color. Nose of burnt sugar, date, prune, licorice and dark cherry. Similar palate, with pleasant heat, minimal tannin, and a funky soy note that blew off quickly. A wine of excellent depth and balance, just a bit short on the finish. Lovely, and could get better. Tasted by pian0_player. Wow. I think I will say it again, wow. Stunning wine. Flawless texture. Incredible depth and power. The best port I have had the privilege of drinking. I guess this will get better with age, but it is singing tonight. Dark chocolate, coffee, Blackberry, mineral. A little hot, but very nice. I just found these for 50 dollars a bottle and Im getting some more! (97 pts.) - Tasted 7/28/2008. [FIND IT!]

Tasted by mebydef. Okay, this was pretty damn good, but the price is high for the pleasure value. I liked it, it's backwards, deep and dark, but it wasn't haunting. It's a definite 94-95 point wine. It's very very good, but great? I don't know, maybe in later years after it has a chance to settle. (94 pts.) - Tasted 12/13/2007. [FIND IT!]
